LONDON, UK – Friday, 17 May 2019 –
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) IEC 27001:2013 is an information security management system (ISMS). An ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organization’s information risk management processes.
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 is the most updated standard of its kind and focuses on quality management systems and performance. It assists companies in developing a management system that aligns quality with their wider business strategy. There is a focus on risk-based thinking and accountability in all organizational processes that help improve communications, efficiency, and implementation of continuous improvement.
“It is with immense pride that we announce our certification of ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 9001:2015. Our focus will enable us to provide additional assurance to our customers that we are focused on continual improvement and customer satisfaction.” said Chief Executive Officer, Chris Mudry. “We are dedicated in providing our customers with the best in partnerships, best in class solution, best in class technology, best in class investment. With the addition of our ISO certifications it demonstrates our desire to be best in quality and efficiency. Additionally, this success came to fruition because of the hard work, commitment and personal sacrifices made by the entire Amphora organization. At Amphora our employees are our most important and greatest asset. We would not accomplish what we do every day without them.”
For any company, the road to certification requires time and commitment. Amphora began their internal preparation for certification in June 2018, by evaluating their existing procedures.
In advance of the required internal audit, Amphora sent their key staff members through auditor training to become certified internal auditors. This allowed Amphora to simultaneously complete internal audits in each department throughout the year and prior to the certification audit.
In April 2019, the British Standard Intuition Group performed the mandatory certification audit. They then notified Amphora of their achievement of the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and ISO 9001:2015 on May 15, 2019 and issued certification of registration numbers FS 711185 and IS 711186.
Amphora provides robust and highly scalable multi-commodity trading, risk management, accounting and shipping solutions to support rapidly growing business demands and empowers clients to streamline operations, reduce transaction costs and manage their physical business in a single platform.
